CASE-ing the Catty #32 - Sneak Peek Week - Sprinkles of Life!

There are not many sleeps until the 2015-16 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue goes live & we can all order some of the stamps, inks & supplies that fill our wishlists, woohoo!  :)

So this week the Crew at CASE-ing the Catty are CASE-ing from the new catty & showcasing some of the fabulous products that will be available.  You can hop your way around all the blogs to see some beautiful sneak peeks.  We have added some new members to the CTC Crew, so now there are even more projects to inspire you.

How amazing was Alison's project?  :)  At the end of this post you will find a link to hop to the next blog.  You can also find a full list of participating blogs on the CASE-ing the Catty blog (here).

One of my favourite products this year is the Ronald McDonald House Charities set called Sprinkles of Life, it is totally adorable & gives stampers so many options.  I have gone with a cupcake:-

If you have a new catalogue already, you will find this set & the tag that inspired my card on the inside back cover.

As well as the stamp set, I have used some DSP from the new 6 x 6 inch paper stack called Cherry On Top & a 2015-17 InColor cardstock called Tip Top Taupe.  I have also used two new punches -  the Tree Builder (to punch out the cupcake frosting) & the awesome Banner Triple punch (to create the fishtail ends on the sentiment banner).  ♥ it!

One of best things about having new products is that they inspire you to have another look at items you already have in your stash, & this sentiment from Remembering Your Birthday worked beautifully with this new imagery:-

You can't really see it in the photos, but I added some teeny tiny pink flowers to the cupcake wrapper.  I coloured the candles with ink & a blender pen, then clear embossed them to make them look waxy.  I made some slits in the icing to tuck in the candles & added some sprinkles to the frosting.  Yum!  :)

CASE-ing the Catty #31 - Father's Day Section Inspiration

Welcome to CASE-ing the Catty's Friday Hop!  Both the Stampin' Up! catalogues provide an abundance of inspiration for crafting & this week the Crew are CASE-ing a project from the Father's Day section of the Occasions catalogue to make a masculine project.  Maybe you have come directly from Alison's blog (if not, make sure you go check out her fabulous "Amazing Birthday" card!)

I have chosen to make a love/encouragement card:-

& here is my inspiration piece, from page 40:-

I love the clean lines of the sample, the white embossed sentiment which has part of the sentiment on a raised word window punch-out & the thin banner behind the sentiment.  I added a line of piercing either side of the centre panel (on both the inside & outside of the card) to accentuate the feature panel:-

The stars were sponged on using a dauber with the star template.  I used a favourite colour palette of Coastal Cabana (which is about to retire, sob, sob!), Crumbcake & Whisper White.

Just keep hopping your way around the blogs for lots of inspiration, but if you get lost along the way, you can find a full list of participating blogs on the CTC blog (here)

Now on to Rachel's inspiring project (simply click on the graphic):-

CASE-ing the Catty #29 - Occasions Sketch Inspiration

This week the Crew from CASE-ing the Catty have a Blog Hop for you with the inspiration being the layout of the card on Page 22 of the Stampin' Up! Occasions catalogue.

Perhaps you have come directly from Alison's blog & checked out her amazing project.  To keep on hopping around the blogs click on the "next blog" icon at the bottom of this post to go straight to Elizabeth's post.  If you happen to get lost along the way, there is a list of all the participating links on the CASE-ing the Catty blog (here).

So here is my project:-

& here is a sketch of the original card:-

http://caseingthecatty.blogspot.com

As you can see, I have turned the layout & the sentiment 90 degrees.  I love the rustic feel of the Hardwood background of the inspiration piece, so I recreated that with white craft ink on a crumbcake background, but I ran the planks in the opposite direction.  I used the a retiring Starburst die for the the vellum wrapping on my posie & had to give a last "hurrah" to the retiring InColors, Coastal Cabana & Crisp Cantaloupe.  I certainly hope those two colours return in the next colour shuffle!

I have used the white jute ribbon to recreate the banner element of the card & used the Flower Patch Stamps & matching Flower Fair dies for the flowers.  A Bitty Banner die was used with the Teeny Tiny Sentiment.

We hope you enjoy our projects this week & would love for you to join us, to do so, simply leave a comment on the CASE-ing the Catty blog with your link.

Now on to Elizabeth's fabulous project:-
